Get this print on inprntThis has been on the backburner for far too long - I just kept getting distracted with other things I had to do. It's quite frustrating!
Anyway, finally I can call it done and move on to something new
Might as well give the contest a shot :3

Wow, what a brilliant piece! I was so pleased to see so much color in the highlights on the armor. Sooo many lovely moments. I could probably just watch your livestreams and find out (and I probably will) but I'm curious to know how you work with layers since this painting has the appearance of having a lot of very direct paint application.

Thanks! I use layers as they are convenient - generally I'll keep characters separate from backgrounds. And when there's another element overlapping a character, like a weapon etc., that'll get its own layer as well and so on. Just whatever makes the process faster and easier

Cool thanks for your thoughts. You seem to use the layers very elegantly as it doesn't make your paintings feel overly static or segmented like I've seen happen in other peoples' work. Kudos!

That's what I thought about Nami too! But I think she just looks similar and isn't actually supposed to be a representation of her. Maybe the artist was inspired by Nami's design though!
