Thanks. sadly this area has since been diminished as logging has been permitted to take place right behind where this photo was taken.

thankyou. it's good to hear from you.
are you freezing your piercings off or are you tipping cattle these days?

The cattle have been tipped, and now I am freezing my piercings off in Alaska again. I like it way better in hippie-ville.
What have you been up to, besides the obvious.

if i said i'd been doing nothing i'd be admitting to the entire intranets that i've been a useless, lazy bum taking up valuable space on this crowded planet.
so i've been very, very, terribly, relentlessly busy.

a bit OT but my favorite Leonard Cohen line was probably ""follow me" the wiseman said but he walked behind".

I really like how it starts by being really bright at the top but as the eyes continue downwards, the colours get darker. Lovely scene, well captured!

Ohhh... pretty. I love autumn-y colours.
This kind of shot makes me envy you photographers a lot, I've never been able to take a good photo of my wanderings in the mountains. Faving yours instead

it's a very pretty area.
it's where i discovered a herd of elk smells like a barn. and when i discovered them discovering me my pants almost smelt like a barn.

Wonderfull contrast of the tall trees in the back and the low growing ferns in the front. Did you use some color enhancement?

i shoot with the saturation setting in camera at -2 and nudge it back up in post-processing when i want more. i prefer the control this gives me rather than relying on the cameras set modes (my camera seems to want to oversaturate reds if i let it).
unfortunately, my color perception isn't the best so i usually seek a second opinion before i post but this is pretty close to what it looked like to me.

thankyou. you know what would be great for landscape photos? if they got x number of favs than they wouldn't be able to significantly alter the land depicted.
i guess this hippyish thought is brought on by trying to imagine how beautiful the great hardwood forests on the east coast must have been in autumn.
