Now this one... is hard. I'd have to say Adam, simply because his key power (the soul gem) is undodgeable and unstoppable. It's also instant death for the victim.

Even though Piccolo is one of my all time fav DBZ characters, the fact that Adam Warlock could destroy him with the Soul Stone kinda clinches that fight (i prob didn't spell that right lol), either way, it would be an Epic Battle.

About this statement of yours:

We could argue and numerate SEVERAL "non physical derived" things in favor of both characters... but the truth is, Adam saved the ENTIRE UNIVERSE from extinction so many times, using "only" his smarts, knowledge, will power and thinking capabilities, that, this fact all alone, puts him, at least on this aspect, on a level WAY ABOVE Piccolo will ever be able to reach, even if he is fused with Earth's DBZ "Kami-Sama" (AKA "God") or not (and we all know that Piccolo is 3 persons in one: himself, Kami-sama and Nail).
By talking only about the "physical" aspect of the thing, like i said on my previous post, imho, Piccolo indeed has the edge on speed, fighting skills (although Adam is a good fighter too, but, of course, less skiled than Piccolo, on this aspect) and energy projection.
In the PHYSICAL strength aspect, both of them are practically even matched, Adam is MAYBE only a little bit physically stronger than Piccolo.
About durability, both of them are pretty damn durable, Adam is only a little bit more phisycally durable, but since Piccolo has the regeneration thing at his favor, that will put him a little bit above Adam, in general aspects, on the durabitily aspect;
BUT, since there as OTHER aspects on this battle besides the physical one - like the Soul Gem - is better Piccolo don't underestimate Adam (by reading a "low Chi" level - comparing to DBZ universe standards- coming from Adam, and then, thinking that he is a low level scum, and underestimate him), and go all out right from the beginning, using his super speed at his best, and try to knock him out - or even kill him, using powerful enough energy blasts - pretty fast, otherwhise, he will be doomed, since Adam will suck his soul from his body, and restrain on the Soul Gem pocket universe for the whole eternity.
And, about my previous post, was "how", instead of "hot".

If Adam uses the soul gem, he can win, no doubts about it. The only main problem here is Piccolo's speed... is far above Adam. Not to fly, but, to punch, kick, and dodge stuff (in other words, to fight, and Piccolo knows to fight really well... not that Adam don't know hot to fight, but, well, you get the picture). Other problem is Piccolo's energy projection (specialy, if allied to his superior speed)... far to great to Adam handle. In physical strength, they are even matched.

You forget that piccolo has the knowledge of the Gaurdin of earth on his side. So, speed, power, knowledge, skill, and an extreme will power, I think piccolo has this one. But no fear, all adam really has to do is wissle!
