this one's long overdue.... finally got the time to render it.experimented with layers.
was thinking if i should have used crushed asphalt instead of lightning-like blast similar from the toon

it was intended to be that way. Red parts glowing shows when the kibble breaks apart.
Should it transform into a real scenario car, red markings would be so off unless its a tuner car i guess.

I've always wanted to combine the Tron and Transformers visual styles for some new TF designs. I think it would look soooo cool.
I'm still trying to figure out how to do it, though. You seem to have come up with a pretty good approach.
