Vista mouseover icon effect for XP.
Gives 48x48 icons (along with ViStart) and the blue hover effect (6 backgrounds included) from Vista.
I found this trick, and didn't take any ideas from any other place. Rather, (I may be wrong) this has not been done till now.

I dont need this effect on desktop cuz my desktop icons are turned off i need this effect on all other icons in explorer is there are a way or some kind of software to make this possible ?

I would really like to get this, but when I try to download, it gets stuck at 22k, this has happened to me now a few times on DA.

I am sorry, my PC just crashed and it would take me some time to get everything working again. But I am sure you can do that yourself in Photoshop (it is just a blurred black text layer behind a non-blurred white one). I would make it for you, if required, as soon as everything is back on track.

Well dude, this s definitely not a tweak nor a trick, its simply a theme for avedesk. If you already decided to use avedesk and consequentiality compromise on performances, you can use 128x128 png's with endless background and hover effects. If it was live desktop icons it whould be a different matter though...
Overall, for the specific goal you aimed for, its very nice.

Hmm...the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary defines 'trick' in one of its meanings as "a way of doing something that works well." Got any problems with that?
AveDesk would put any of those endless effects only on the icon. If you don't add the caption and extra space around to the icon, it would not look like Vista.

The shadow dose not vanish dude. I mean the blue BG remians on the icon and not applicable to other icons except in Avedesk's database. Any Fix for that?

I know...but I can't do anything about either of the things you mentioned. But you can make AveDesk not react to mouseovers- Desklets Control Panel>Settings>Global Settings>Selecting and uncheck Hover selection...it would react like an XP icon now and you would still get the background, but when you click only...Obviously, no hover effect then.

Hey ive tried everything but i cant get this effect. I put the "Mouseover" folder in the Avedesk folder and replaced the "theme" file with yours. But nothing happens. There is a folder called desklet too, maybe i should put the "Mouseover" folder in there?

The Fix is XP Optimizer Pro. Obviously people don't get the chance to discover the 4000 tweak pack lolz.

I mean you can get rid of recycle bin via folder options through a tweak and get it back too. But you cant remove it by just unchecking desktop icons. Theres no other way to get rid of the recycle bin.
