Description
Appearing in the mid 1950’s, the first Anguirus was vastly different than the one that we know today. This Anguirus was ferociously territorial and aggressive toward man, viewing them as a source of food. It wasn’t nearly as intelligent as the second, but was able to keep fighting despite sustaining massive injuries by the second Godzilla (codenamed Gigantis). Both Anguirus are about the same size, but the first one is roughly thirteen meters longer due to its tail, which is more whip-like than its successor’s.
Other differences to be noted with this first generation Anguirus is its lack of armor plating on its limbs and its carapace being more along the lines of armadillo armor with spikes. Despite this, this Anguirus can not curl into a ball like the modern day one. Its tail lacks spikes except for its very end and it has seven crowning horns instead of five.
These differences, along with its purely carnivorous diet, have lead kaijuologists to believe this is either an ancestral species to the modern Anguirus or a completely different type of animal all together. To help differentiate the two creatures, some within the field of study call the first generation Anguirus by its original name “Angilas” or “Angilasaurus.”
While not as intelligent as the second incarnation, this Anguirus is more nimble. Its lighter armor allows it to move even faster and its claws and spikes are much sharper compared to the later. Instead of tusks, this Anguirus is armed with serrated fangs designed to rip and tear flesh. Its tail is longer and can strike so fast that it can generate sonic booms and shockwaves upon impact. This Anguirus has shown tremendous stamina in battle and can go on for hours before sustaining to massive injury. It fought the second Godzilla in Osaka for four straight hours before being burned to death. Some kaiilogists suspect this Anguirus could have also been venomous due to a hollow nature of its fangs, but without a complete skull, this theory remains unproven.
The deadly nature of this kaiju, its ferocious appetite, and complete disregard for other life has given it one of the most formidable nicknames of them all – The Killer of the Living.

Very nicely done! First generation? Is this from 1955 or is this from when he was alive in the Jurassic period?
