I wanted to draw something inspired by my beloved pet goldfish, I love them so much, but I felt like water could be associated with sad feelings. In this drawing I wanted to try using pastel blue, pastel green and pastel orange together since I've never used them together before. This drawing is of a boy who's felt like he's missing something ever since his girlfriend left him, he always thinks about her and his heart is broken without her. Sometimes when you think about someone you've lost it feels like you're drowning in thoughts and pain, so I thought it'd be a good time to use a fishbowl as a hat. I put a hole where his heart is meant to be because his lover left him, and put a goldfish there because... Well, that I can't really explain. I just wanted to. In the end no shading really worked on this drawing so I just lightly shaded everything with a faint pink and left it fairly simple. I think this kind of lineart I've done lately is growing on me, it's almost therapuetic to draw like this. This was a pose I did from mind when I was doing practice earlier, but when I gave him some hair and a face, I knew I wanted to actually draw him. I saw a shirt with this shape, but not with this pattern, in a store while on a trip and wanted to see what it'd be like on a guy since it was designed to be worn by girls. I changed the design since the original was flowery and rain suited the overall theme better.
