Description
Our own mind; it's a place we can escape to, but we can never escape from. It's the ultimate prison.She sits here and thinks as she plays with her hair, not realising as she twists it round her fingers she's creating her own cage, physically and mentally.
Wanted to design something interesting with the framing and composition, and went with the narrow colour scheme to try and reflect her internal feelings.
I'm trying to worry less, and was thinking about worrying less, then I realised I was worrying about worrying less! Made myself smile XD
The mind is such an intriguing thing, how no one else can read our thoughts, but they influence everything we do. We can imagine whats it's like to be someone else, but never really feel it, we will always be within our own heads, looking out...

i like that your describe the depths of your art, it makes it easier to decipher seeing i love to look into the deeper meanings of peoples artwork. i to have deeper meanings in my artworks but i don't describe alot of them like you so i enjoy your beautiful art

I think this is one of my favorite works of yours to date. It's absolutely stunning. The muted colors look fantastic, and the hair/cage is very clever. If you were to start selling your prints online, this would be my first buy.

I need to learn how to do eyes like you do! Or at least get them to work in my own style. I'd love to see a "How To" on the different eye shapes you have. That's one of my problems when trying to make realistic-ish people. I can never get the eyes right, then it throws off all the other proportions. :C

This picture is very close to me in a way I can not quite explain in words, but only in thought. It also looks like a cross between me and a person I love, and how we react together, I say it describes me well. I love the eyes and how they are one of the only bright things, along with the necklace and the cage. I loved the colors and how they were dark, but yet had the lightness in the center, which makes the dark seem darker. I really like the way that the girls is sitting and how the cage is in her, yet surrounding her. I guess you could say I loved it all. Your Fan, Violet Stone.

The color scheme you used here makes the image seem both depressing yet enchanting, quite how one's mind may make us feel.

This is beautiful you did a great job framing here and I love the light coming in from the 'bars.' It reminds me of how people will say such nice things about you but inside you always seem to being thinking the worse about yourself. Her face is great, you can't tell if she is smiling or not and if she is you don't know if it is for a good reason or not.
