Not officially, since the technical definition of a blacksmith is "An artisan who works iron with at forge, hammer, ect."
I do enjoy making things out of steel however. Since I need a sturdier mask for cutting steel, I'm thinking about making the front of Dharok's helmet and putting some shatter resistant plastic behind the eyes.

Thanks. It's actually finished now, I just need to get a picture of the full armor up.
(I actually tried to get the pic yesterday, but after putting the armor on, I discovered that my only camera was in my pocket and therefore impossible to get to. Oops. )

I like how they're made to look like they do when they're un-equiped.

Thank you. I actually was trying to make them like the equipped graphic, but they just turned out better like this. They aren't totally finished though... after I get a few more screws, I'll be able to wear them and get the full armor pic. For now, I figured that they would hold together long enough to a picture.

You better give us the final result. This looks more promising... though I think you need to get darker purple...

I agree completely, but I'm having a hard time finding the right color. I may have to resort to a different type of paint to color certain parts.

Perphaps mix the purple with a little black?

Well, I've been using spray paint for the most part. It would be difficult to mix them, as doing so and then applying it causes it to go on rather rough.

Yeah. They could be a little better in some areas, but I think that the correct paint colors and a little more practice working the thicker metal would produce a better result next time. It's always good to hear how I can improve.
