Description
My custom Transformers Ironhide figure.As soon as I saw him on the cartoon I knew I had to make him.
Based on the TF:A Ratchet figure I start by ripping him apart, well unscrewing everything that could be unscrewed. Removed the flip out magnet thingys.
Sanded back the 'war wound' and filled in the gaps in the arms.
Removed the head.
Sculpted a new head in wax.
Moulded the head in silicon.
Cast in resin and created a new balljount socket in filler.
A new custom paint job and hes done

Yes, but they do require the ball socket to be created but they are pretty simple to create.

The show is great...I love the new animated style too.
I've got plans to sculpt some figurines (so many planned I really needs to sit down and start sculpting) of the characters.
If you get a chance look it out. Ironhide only appears in the episode 'Autoboot camp' and doesn't even have an earthmode, but he always used to be a repaint of ratchet so I thouhgt it was a fitting homage.
