Here she is. My Ex least favorite pony which I hated whole first season and liked her more and more later on
This piece took me some time because I never even tried to paint a snow and have to learn it here. The biggest problem here is the carousel boutique because it was a pain with lots of small accents and it is round.
There was some moment when I stuck because everything had to be covered by snow and to be honest - there's not much stuff surrounding Rariti's boutique. It's hard to make round building look good but I guess creators tried hard.

Because you make a wonderful scenery, with an inspiring moon, a beautiful Rarity looking with love he cute sister, with nice light reflecting on their skin, and because you even don't forgot the cat ? I should be generous because the snow is well done, with a feel of thickness ? because there are details like the red bird under the light and because you made an incredible true to the show but so much details Rarity's Carousel House ?
So I should be generous because you did a digital painting resuming everything I like about that show ? I say OF COURSE !

Of course, one can find some details or mistake to correct, (for example, the outline of the bridge, maybe?) but sincerely, it's very good. Fabulous like would say Rarity.
Even if I'm enthusiastic, continue the work and studies. Truly you didn't waste your time, we can see you learn and work a lot.

I like the effort put in to the lighting effects (although the glare on the lamps is a little uniform, some other gripes I could make, but I know multiple light sources are hard). Your snow actually looks gorgeous though. I love the accents and the ruts and the drifts. c:

The background is magnificent. Only the ponies look slightly off, not integrated with the picture. It might have to do with the lighting, but I suck at that myself so I can't give you many tips. Maybe they should be a bit darker. On the other hand, it might have to do with the outlines, since the background doesn't have outlined objects and that makes the ponies look like they're in a different style. Overall, however, the difference isn't very noticeable and the picture in general is lovely.

Well this is a masterpiece to say the least. MLP art like this is the stuff that makes me want to spend money I dont have to get a hq print and frame. So... how much does art prints like this go for??

I just absolutely adore this. I love the limited use of lighting, the white environment that fits well with Rarity and Sweetie Belle's white coats, the composition is nice and soothing, and the attention to detail is just lovely.

Shall I say? As of now from mane 6 its everyone's favorite RD. She's still cool though, but I like to have everything in order so someone has to occupy the last place

What about Pinkie Pie? Character-wise she has been slowly deteriorating, while RD has actually improved, and I'm not trying to change your opinion, just wondering what you think of her.
And yes, she is my least favorite.

Pinkie Pie is like mindless comedy relief and walking gag and I never had any issues with characters that don't demand from me any particular brainstorm to understand complicated characteristics. Characters like Pinkie are fun to watch and serve a good smile and i like her 'Pinkamena' variant (wish that was more canonized than it is). I like my characters to have some background but we work with what we have. RD is like those sport maniacs I always made fun of and she's full of herself egocentric pony I can least relate to.
PS. And She's living in a Cloud house which I can't frikkin paint!

Interesting, so for Pinkie you disregard her recent flaws because of how fun she is, makes a lot of sense actually... maybe I should move her up.
As for RD... now that's shallow

I like all of the mane 6 as well, I mean, they are the reason why I watch the show in the first place
Regarding flaws in general: we all have them, so we interact daily with them and learn to either like/love some, and tolerate others, it is just a human trail.
Pinkie, on the other hand, is suffering more for faulty writing, like how she used to be this crazy fun character that still felt somewhat balanced, to nowadyas where she is just crazy fun that sometimes jumps to being obnoxious, or at least that's how I see her, so not so much as a character flaw, but a show's one.

Your ability to properly preserve perspective and show distance are excellent (way better than mine anyway). Your lighting and shading are awesome, your poses are great! Attention to detail is great.
So if Pinkie is flying, who's on the ice? Also looks like Twilight might have figured out the skating thing (unless that's not her). The doctor even made an appearance!
A few critiques (and believe me, this is a weird thing to do for someone who's so much better than I am):
* The Cardinal should probably have sunk into the snow a bit. Also, how did he get there? Did he land (then there should be some snow in the shape of where his wings landed). Did he hop (should be some bird tracks). He seems a bit plastered on and not part of the picture.
* The moon looks a little strange. I realized it's because a moon obscured by thin clouds will still show a perfect circular outline (unless the clouds are really thick). Example: [link]
* The boutique is exceptional though the upper levels seem like they may not have been placed centrally on the base. There appears to be more space on the left roof of the bottom level than the right. Maybe it's because we're looking at it at a slightly upward angle?
Anyway, if you're anything like me, you easily forget what you've accomplished and only focus on the things you can't do. Remember to only compare yourself to the you you used to be. Or just compare yourself to me... because my best art EVER isn't near this good. I love how you can almost feel the cold air looking at this picture. It's just sublime.

This is how I imagine a 'real' Ponyville would look. It still has the fairytale look, and yet so filled with 'reality'. Almost a 'too real to be real' look to it, in my mind.

My question is ... how? How do you make pieces that are so consistently beautiful? They're all different, but similar in the amazing style it's done in. Like they're all different pieces to the same bigger picture. A wonderful story not yet realized.

What amazes me the most are the hidden details.
I see Pinkie, Lyra and Tardis booth, but these are rather obvious.
The letter on the bridge - is this a Ponyville municipality insignia?
The poster in the river with a blue tripe - is this a some kind of Winter Wrap Up advertisement? The letters look like Equestrian font, not english.
The robin on the shore - is it there on purpose I can not deciper?
The same auestion is for green ribbon on the tree.

Absolutely incredible. My eye and heart gets attached to little beautiful details, like how (Rarity's) magic glows in the dark and the light in the Boutique's sign and the clouded moon. (And on the funny side - Pinkie!
