Description
18 - 24 years – the younger years of adult lion/lioness and probably the hardest. Although they are considered responsible adults, they still need to prove it to the pride and are often drilled more then senior members of the pride. Royal borns often struggle with there new transition: new kings/queens/regents often lack experience for ruling and will often make mistakes as a result (needing assistance from the previous king/queen every now and again). But with further experience, they often gain confidence and even start to make decisions regarding starting a family and allowing others in the pride to do the same. This is also the years that individuals may go through there last bit of growth.24 - 45 years – The highlight years of adulthood were the individual has gained enough experience and confidence to have a finalized role but the youth and energy to pursue and achieve other ambitions. When individuals usually start a family, raising the next generation as they were raised (the royal family usually has cubs first to give their cubs an age advantage). This is also the point when the alpha huntress of the previous generation will chose individual from this age group to pass on the title. Rouge males often have either taken over a pride or solidified a territory of their own. The new king/queens will have by now fully taken the reign and now have the experience to not make amateur mistakes.
45 - 60 years – The last years till the lion/lioness will have some use to the pride. Small bits of mane/tail, cheeks, muzzle and chin begin to gray in areas and may even start to turn pale as time goes on. At this point the king/queen will be making preparations for their chosen heir to take the throne and to settle/tie up any last bit of disputes before they resign. The alpha huntress will chose a successor and spend the last few years hunting as a simple pridesister before retirement. Males in the pride will go on less and less patrols and be less in inclined to get involved when an intruder crosses the borders. Rouge males of this age who haven’t started there own pride or concurred another will actually start considering joining a preexisting pride, knowing that at there age they can no longer defend themselves as easily. If they manage to convince the leader of the pride to join, they often take up the role of babysitter or some other less strenuous role.
60 years - till death – When said lion/lioness finally retires and spends the rest of there years sleeping, watching cubs and retelling stories and legends to pride members. The parts of the mane/tail, cheeks, muzzle and chin that were turning gray before start to whiten and the whole coat will pale out. The edge of the eyes may bag up, body thin out along with the fur. Rouge lions don’t often make it in the wild after this age and will likely die from any number of the risks of the wild. King/Queens will have retired after this point and will spend the rest of there years in the comfortable position of respect and admiration. Although lionesses at this age may join in the hunt every now and again, they mostly let the younger pride sisters take the reigns. Although it can vary between individuals, most lions/lionesses rarely live long enough to retire and those that do only continue to live a few years after.

The final part to the age chart. This one is from a young adult to the point they are elderly.
One last time, each individual is different and ages a different way so what you see won't always apply to the situation.
