Well, I did think of this from the top of my head:

ExPhantom was originally an alternate version of Sonic (regular appearance and behavior) until he stumbles upon the Phantom Ruby for the first time in years. He touches it, but the Phantom Ruby unexpectedly overloads from the energy previously produced from Super Sonic as well as the energy from the Heavy King, and is corrupted. And upon being touched by the last person to use it, Sonic is trapped inside the ruby as the corrupted energy eats away at his soul until he is simply evil, with no memory of who he is.

It would be pretty interesting if this was used, but hey, maybe Devy has other plans as to who ExPhantom really is.

Still i'm so confused about the Sally.exe Discovery.

You see Classic Amy in the opening, then you enter in the character select screen, you saw Modern Amy. then you start with her, title screen, you see Classic Amy, but she dies, she became Modern Amy!?

What the heck Devy! Why not you just added Modern Amy as a playable or maybe a character sprite swap,

Probably just laziness. He’s remaking Sonic.exe The Beginning (aka Sally.exe Discovery’s prequel) so maybe he can finally add consistency to the story.
