...because they will just suck you in.This is Riph, a 9-foot-tall boxer who may or may not be a demon. Or an alien. Or both. And he may or may not have something to do with all the boxing anthros I've drawn up here. And when he's not boxing, he likes to dance to some funky music.
First serious attempt at soft shading. Countless hours have been spent on making this level of detail look barely decent in a realistic manner. My tablet probably hates me now.

Riph seems to be an alien/demon mutant hybrid.
I wonder about Dummy, the reddish-brown alien/demon mutant hybrid who's more overpowered than Riph here. I wonder if he has a reference sheet yet.

Oooh... Nice to see Riph finally colored! Funny though, desptite his fierce appearance, he does have a playful side whenever he's not boxing.
I think your patience has paid off. The coloring is amazing. Love the smooth shading on Riph's muscles and the highlights mixed with it on the creases of his boxing gloves and trunks. You really did pay a lot of attention on the details here. Awesome job! |D

Yup. And I guess you could call it playful. XD
Oddly enough, the muscles are a bit easier to shade, but the creases gave me trouble since I wasn't sure if they looked good or not, so I redid them the most. But it's very rewarding at the same time.

I know this is probably an obvious question, but does Riph always wear his gloves even when he's not boxing?

...now that you mention it, Riph's the only protagonist I made whose glove-wearing is optional, personality-wise. When not boxing, Riph has his gloves transform into a pair of headphones, which he uses to listen to music and dance to its beats. He still keeps the trunks and shoes intact, though.
Everyone else either constantly keeps wearing their gloves for story-related reasons (Dlaigo, Gust and Obb) or they can't take it off because the gloves are literally part of them (Bruke and two other protagonists I haven't shown here in DA).
It probably seems like I'm subconsciously avoiding drawing hands with the way I designed characters, but the boxing-glove phenomenon only affects certain main characters - though that probably doesn't help my case since I draw said main characters more frequently than the support characters. XD

He's like Wayver, sort of nice, easygoing and gentle in normal circumstances, but in fights (boxing matches in particular), he's quite playfully cruel and sadistic like Dlaigo/Obb.

Yup. And actually they are, though they're connected by one person, who hasn't even made an appearance on DA and the explanation as to why they're connected to this one person would be too convuluted without explaining everyone else's stories first. XD

Not sure if I'll ever do other occupations. I'm just that obsessed with boxing anthros. XD And personally, I think there's too many warriors and guardians and not enough boxers. XD
