Description Testing some possible style ideas for the Marionette, an original character by

This one was done by making a pretty basic outline, creating some dramatic shading for good contrast, then using dry brush in photoshop. I then turned it into a greyscale image before adding the amber and red...oh and of course my new logo.

The face is a tad long, but that's certainly the right kind of creepy.. O_O
As for the paint, might be best to emphasize the puppet/doll look around the lips and jaw, and take a bit of clown/mime to the eyes with a red border.

I've added some 'dollface' rosy red cheeks and some drawn on lower lashes a la Clockwork Orange to the main picture. Working on it now.

Red cheeks are questionable... Since it might take away from the creepy factor. But the lashes, I accept.

And I love that movie. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Right you are. I am getting there, I just have to let everything flow more freely. I think I've bunched myself up into a knot

Do what you need to dude. Remember, you're volunteering for this. A career wont depend upon this(Unless some publisher stumbles upon it..)

Nah I know. But I am a very objective artist. I can see my own work without a bias, that has plus sides and down sides. At least it has forced me to experiment
