Andy Bogard from King of Fighters and Fatal fury.

Winner of the 8th KOF REDUX poll.

Andy always gets a bad rap and I am not sure why, he is actually a really well designed character and the best part is for one of the primary characters of Fatal Fury, Andy isn't just another Shoto ripoff of Ken or Ryu, he is well balanced and his fighting style is very unique.

Of course Terry always gets the accolades from the fans but Andy gets Mai so it evens out imo .

Anyway on to the REDUX. Simple yet elegant is what I wanted to shoot for when redesigning his costume. I wanted to make sure he still had his trademark Gi but at the same time I wanted him to look like a high caliber martial arts master that could beat people down at the drop of a hat.

I changed his overall scheme to black and red instead of the original white and red, I also tapered his pants a bit to make it look kinda like the type of gear a ninja would wear. Also, and this is important, I felt that his newer costumes were missing a special element that made him who he was, and that was the flame design he used to have at the bottom of his pants. So I brought the flame back but added is as sort of a crest to his Gi.

Lastly I cut his hair, I know this is probably debatable since Andy has always had long hair, but I felt it was time for a change.
