This is a video tut that will show you how to make a dev stamp.
Im not the creator of this..nor claim to be..these have been done a million times in other tutorials here on da....I have only sped the process up a bit with some short cuts in Photoshop.

UPDATE....if you want to preserve transparency and you have IE6 or older you could also save this as a GIF image. Thanks to Vectortrance for reminding me. 
ALSO your final stamp size should be 99 x 56 pixels.

yeah...i went to the menu DP, and I when i went through the menu and in the edit section it has "Fade" on the list...what is that...it doesnt do nothin...

oooooooooh my bad...well apply a filter to something....and then go strait to fade....it will allow you to fade your last filter...like if use blur...and then fo to fade...it will say fade blur and not just fade....if you blur something and the do something else...it wont be there and wont work...it has to be right after you do it

One question- which Photoshop do you have, because i've got 7.0 and you can't do that stuff.... So it kinda defeats the purpose of me watching this but....what the heck.

I have cs2....you can most of that in this tut...some of the short cuts arent there but you can still make that stamp.

ok- its just that 7.0 hasn't got the pencil, or fil bucket. i had to make it on paint

7 does have those tools....for pencil you right click your paint brush and choose pencil from the fly out menu.....and for the paint bucket you right click your gradient tool and select paint bucket or the fill commend is shift f5.

Thank you so much for a great tutorial. I usually work in PSP but have Paintshop Elements on my laptop and still managed to produce a fairly passable stamp...even though the tools and options are limited.... [link] I just had to go and animate mine though

Great tutorial! I love the shortcut you used for the edges. One question...is there a pause button for the clip? I needed to stop the tutorial to catch up and each time it returned back to the beginning. I love the tutorial and don't mind. Thanks for such a terrific tutorial. I've been looking for something like this for quite a while

Oh wait...after I just looked at it...there is a pause button...In the middle there...If you see the same controls that I do...Hopefully. on the bottom there is play, pause and stop. Please let me know what you see there. Sometimes certain pcs dont see the same playback controls depending on the flash player you have.

ooh im sorry ...no the controls that I can add with camtasia dont allow a pause button..I should have checked that out...I thought it just stopped it and re started where it left off...eeeek Ill have to check into a better way of doing these.
