Out of curiosity, what would've happened if ENERGON Bruticus Maximus arrived instead of Devastator?
Or perhaps ROTF Bruticus + TFSOURCE Explorer and Munitioner? Because lets face it, on its own, that ROTF set would be horrible. Blast Off as a tank, and Swindle a helicopter? BLASPHEMY!!!!!
At least with the ENREGON edition, you could say that they decided to change their alt-modes, without the gestalt's colors be happered to much.

Well, there were bits left over when Unicron exploded. Megatron rebuilt himself with them, absorbing most of what remained of the dark god's power in the process. This works both if you consider Cybertron a sequel to Energon or if you consider it it's own continuity with Unicron having fallen offscreen.
