Description i did this back in march! lol
This is my contest entry for the poster contest that i talked about in my (very old) last journal. I got the first place!!

about the drawing:
reference [link] by ~EvilxElf
ofcourse, i made some changes so that it can go along with the theme. i drew the festival's logo around his eye, and drew an outline of Al-Quds in the background ( the city where the festival is held)
I drew it using colored pencils on a 50x70 cm canson paper! biggest drawing i've ever made XD
the black looks unnaturally black because i painted it using gouache

Hope you all like it! it feels good to submit art here again

i have to go get some sleep now @_@

Hey, Dima, many many many congratulations on winning! I can see exactly why you deserved it - the amazing control of the shading is mesmerising.
Oh that is a good acceptable way to colour the black ! It would be like hell if you used a black coloured pencil. XD The dramatic shadow really makes us focus on the eye. Great job!

I love the colouring so much! And the eye really is just breathtaking. Both in the way xou coloured it and in the detail. This impression is even stronger because of the make surrounding it.
