Description What I usually end up doing is painting something that is or isn't half-way decent. I then complete the crime by harrassing it with photoshop.

My problem is this: there's rarely any kind of clarity. No finished look to it. I'll add textures and filters all day and night, but that tends to make it worse.

I've seen so much, but when it comes to my own work... it's seems to always be lacking something. and it drives me bonkers.

i made this with the intentions of fan-art for a local band in Vegas.

thanks! I really liked the first one, and wanted to play with it a bit. Plus, I haven't painted much in a while, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't TOO rusty. Turns out I am.

I wouldn't say you are. You still got it, plus with a little more practice you will excel, I'm sure of it.

Agreed about the filters. Do you try playing with the settings on your scanner? DPI and all that?
