ΒSo this is a character I've been working on for a little while now. The design has gone through some really dramatic changes, but I think I'm finally satisfied with it. The only thing I'm unsure about are the colors; there are just so many shades of brown and I'm not sure if it looks the best.
Anyway, lately I've been considering making a comic! Over the past year or so I have been developing a bit of a story idea, and I think a comic would be the best way to tell it. It's still got a looong way to go and I'm not even sure if it will happen as I don't have much experience in that area, but I might start trying to post more concept art and character references like this soon.

Ooh I quite like how he looks, heβs rather cute in a way and the medieval outfit I find pretty interesting, also is he wearing like a headset if so that pretty neat I must say given his design. Maybe for the colours you could add contains complimentary like some orange markings or something? As for the comic that sounds pretty sweet whatβs it about if you donβt mind me asking or is that going to be a surprise for later? X3

I'm glad you like the design! Yeah it's supposed to look kind of like one of those old fashioned pilot's hats, but with a little microphone or camera or something attached to the side. There are also some goggles that fold into the back of it, although you can't see them from this angle. I was trying to go for a blend of high tech and low tech.
And thanks for the advice, I may try to add some more orange in there somewhere.
I'd like to give you an idea, but I'd rather wait until I'm more sure of how it's going to go. The thing is my stories tend to get written and re-written so many times I couldn't guarantee what I told you would be anywhere close to the final product. XD

Yea! Oh ok ya I can see that now hehe, pretty cool concept though would definitely be cool to see the rest. I quite like that blend kinda has like a Steampunk vibe with old and new you got going, sick!
Haha sounds good then itβll just be a bigger grand reveal then. X3 The struggles though are real. XDD

So what's the background story behind this character? The headgear looks like it belongs to a pilot of some sort.

There are still some details I need to work out but yeah, the basic idea is that he's a pilot, or at least used to be.
