Description Heres Bernyll!! :3 Ain't he a handsome boy? I'm going to be using him in and you all should join in too! It'll be lot's of fun I tried coloring and shading him the same way I did Eukona's ref, but if came out all sketchy

Character Personality: He may come off as a sort of a violent gryphon because of his theories on action solving anything instead of "thinking the day away", but he's really just a bored fellow looking for some fun after living with his boring "hippie" parents (who are obsessed with Tookie Island's residents). He's also a wannabe-future gryphon-womanizer, but currently his youth and lack of *ahem* experience has led him to be seen as really cute or really aggravatingly annoying. Loves food. Don't worry, he'll get his dignity and all the lady-gryphs he wants when he's a full Balach Warrior... maybe.

I was wondering if I could include Bernyll in my first challenge for Milvus? Its going to be a big group pic and I want a lot of gryphons that are still in their 'young' phase (and he is gorgeous, Bateleur Eagle's rule!)

Wow, this looks great. The textures you used and the anatomy really make it look real. Good job with the character design--those are some interesting species for a gryphon.

Love his short little bateleur tail! And his whole design, of course. But aren't female bateleurs the ones with the gray on the secondary flight feathers? Not that it matters, since he's a gryphon, not an eagle

Thank you! I was confused at first too, so I did a lot of studying on them (i'm such a nerd ) and while the females do have gray on their wings, the gray you see there is actually the shoulder and upper wing coverts. I'm bad at explaining so here are two pictures, you can see the female [link] has the gray shoulders as well as the gray secondaries. The male here: [link] lacks the white. Or if your talking about the blue-ish gray on the flight feather then both have them

It was the blue-ish gray on the flight feathers I was wondering about. I didn't know whether the males' black secondaries were wholly black, or mostly black. Thanks for clearing that up (the more you know)!
