Here is the finished piece! I just adore how he came out. He's made out of super sculpey and painted with acrylics. He's also a night light! Everyone else has been making dancing baby Groots, and I knew I didn't want to go that route. I was really struck by the scene in the movie where he lights up their way, and decided to try and capture it in a sculpture. He took between 40-50 hours from start to finish, and I couldn't be happier with him.Related content

It really is remarkable Meghan. You have so much detail in the sculpture and an excellent paint job. I love how it appears he is growing out of the base and the lights were a great decision to set your piece apart. It definitely deserves more exposure!

Thanks, Kayla! I'm so excited with how he came out. I almost never finish sculptures I start, and this guy was sculpted in 5 consecutive days, and fully painted a week and a half later. I can't wait to get the rest of my pictures back!
