This is gorgeous! I especially love the grainy feel to it, and your water is simply beautiful. Cartoony and yet somehow realistic as well. And my goodness, your Eric is hot! I like the lower pants look. XD
Although I do really love the story and music of The Little Mermaid, I kind of hate it too, ha ha ha. I mean, come on! She had the most incredible world and she wanted to come live up here in our crap world!? Gah woman! I suppose it wouldn't have worked as well to have a singing prince that lost his voice and somehow grew a tail, but it still makes me cringe that she gave up that underwater life. XDD

Actually the singing prince thing, while ridiculous at first, sounds AWESOME. Think about it, meets a mermaid, want's to become one, is seduced into the ocean by the sea witch, becomes a mermaid, it also fits better with the legend of Mermaids, who supposedly seduced men into the water and then they drowned em xD
I'm still fond of Snow. I 
I love Snow's Prince to, Like Prince Eric and The Beast(human form) are the hottest princes, but The Prince from Snow white can sing, Granted, he looks a tad gay, but hey I'd take Sinatra over James Dean any day.

Ha ha, I suppose the more I think of it, the better it seems. You need to draw a picture like that for us now -- the handsome singing prince-turned merprince XD And yeah, it does fit well with the legends!
To be honest, I think that last time I saw Snow White, I was about 8. I remember I was always scared of the clutchy trees, so I didn't like watching it much. I would love to watch it again sometime -- I'll have to pick up a copy!

I think I'd be most like Belle. I'm a real dreamer and I'm too nosy for my own good. Plus I could tell off a big grouchy beast and get away with it. I guess that means the handsome human of beast is mine. Heh heh. Although, there's two things that always got me confused. How did his outfit from the romantic evening when he was a beast still fit so perfectly when he was human again? And after all the dishes/furniture/etc. turned back into people, how did he still have stuff in his castle to cook with/eat with/sit on? XDDD
