At LAST this is finished! I didn't think to time myself, but I'm pretty sure I spent upwards of 20 hours on these guys. Not totally and completely thrilled with the outcome--I struggled with color and lighting as well as harp strings and a bunch of other things--but I learned a lot whilst painting it.These are Ravelin and Elysia, pretending not to enjoy a rare moment of peace. They're usually fighting, but you can't do that when somebody's playing the harp. It's just not possible.
Used this stock [link] and a very handsome cabbage as reference.

Thank you! (: His wings are where the cabbage came in handy--since I couldn't find a good picture of a live bat's wing I decided plant veins were the way to go. I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
