This is one of the most awesome (and biggest) leafhoppers (Homoptera: Membracidae) I've seen. Sure, I've seen stranger looking ones, but this one was particularly cooperative when it came to taking pics.Yurubí National Park

Hello, I am Luis Camacho, a treehopper specialist from Ecuador. I believe the individual in the photograph may be an Alchisme erecta (a very rare species); in which case this may very well be the first photograph of a live specimen. Or, it may even be a new species to science. I beg you to send me or post other angles of the insect, specially lateral ones. I am also desperate to know the exact location where you took the photograph. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

You are an entomologist, right? I have to buy a macro capable of what yours does. While I am not a specialist in the invertebrate world, closeup photos of insects, arachnids, millipides and others fascinate me.
