This is a semi-old painting I did a while ago, but since I've been busy with some commissions and studies that things seem to move very slowly here so thought I'd do that in the meantime to keep it alive here.
So what is this about? It is a representation and inspiration of the unseen world. Some of us would call it the other side. Although, it doesn't matter how we name it because in the end we all can agree that it is something unique and extraordinary. This, my friends, is the introduction of the series of spirituality I want and would be honored to do. Eventually.Β

Such a beautiful composition. I really feel a connection to this piece. The cooler colors in the foreground really help draw out the hierarchy of the composition. The crisper lines of the foreground really help with the perspective. I enjoy the minimal information to the pillars coming out of the ground. Even though the subject may be somewhat scary or dark, this composition shows a contentment to the afterlife and happiness. The color palette is keeping me infatuated with this image. And as I write this I'm finding tiny moments in the piece that keep me interested, like the chains hanging, almost like being broke free. Part of me wants more information to the spirit, but I'm still very content without it, because that's the point isn't it, not knowing where you go or what you become. All in all, I love this piece a lot.
