Are you ready for this craziness!? Marvel's Secret Wars is shaping up to be a really fun crossover, and here's my latest contribution--this time for X-MEN '92. The book's humorous and nostalgic and takes readers right back to the Animated Series/Jim Lee era of the X-Men. On this cover we're playing "What If?" a bit, imaging what it might've looked like if the classic X-Men vs. Dracula storyline from the comics had been adapted for the TV show. Never gonna happen, but hey, at least you get this variant cover!
My huge love for this era of X-Men is pretty well known by now. I got into comics and art specifically because of Jim Lee's work on the title, so getting the chance to work on things like the Animated Series box art, X-Tinction Agenda, and now X-Men '92 is pure wish fulfillment. Every time I do one of these, it's another love letter to that particular corner of Marvel history, which Secret Wars has brought back into the limelight. Loving every bit of it.
Not exactly sure how you can GET this cover at your comic store, but it's out there or will be soon! These guys are selling it:

What if : Wolverine became lord of the vampires? That's most likely the storyline you thinking of and yes he really did become a vampire in it but it was long before Jubes joined them..
The other story where vamp Jubes bit him don't count and was rather stupid story to begin with and he was cured because it was some kind of virus jubes was exposed too.. All rather confusing and totally pointless attempt by Marvel to cash in on the Twilight movies that was doing well at the box office at the same time even though they TOTALLY deny it and claim it was bad timing but the so-called "bad" timing of it all does not lie.. Marvel did it because of Twilight movies..

Not too many know it but Storm met old Drac and nearly gave in and in a few worlds she did and became Bloodstorm.. I now can't help but wonder what would happen if Vamp Jubes met vamp Storm... heh...
