The dock is just another panel with Icon-Only Task Manager plasmoid.  You should try KDE again, its just getting better and better.

Hmm, auto width not working with standard kde panel, it's not good as a dock. :/ I wish they will fix this. Thank you.

Yeah that's the only issue I have. It is doing the trick for me as I don't use many programs
