This is my pick for Master Splinter for a TMNT movie.

Reason for Casting: As anyone with any common sense or good taste predicted, the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film sucked. Many factors contribute to that, such as Michael Bay's involvement or the lackluster casting. And out of all of the casting picks in the film, the one that made me facepalm the most (besides Megan Fox as April O'Neil) was Tony Shalboub as Splinter. They couldn't get an Asian actor (or at least somebody who sounds Asian) for the role?

Anyway, enough ranting. Insetad of going with a well-known martial artist. I went with somebody who's rather obscure. And that man is Sonny Chiba, the star of several 70s Martial Arts films such as Karate Kiba or The Street Fighter. In fact, you might recognize him as Hanzo Hattori in Kill Bill Vol. 1. He's a martial arts legend and I think he can pull off the wise voice for Splinter. He'd be great.
