Description
This is my first try at Aboriginal Dot Painting. It was actually inspired by a bunch of glass coasters I bought for my Mom when I went on a exchange student trip to Australia. If my memory serves me right, I bought it at the Sydney Airport before my flight back home.I really wanted to credit the artist signed "J.Timbeny"? for the fabulous work done on the coasters, which featured individual dot works on an emu, goana, turtle, kangaroo, fish, and crab. I tried hard at my websearching skills, but alas, I wasn't lucky to find the said artist. My work on acrylics is NOT a carbon copy of the mentioned work on the coasters; instead of using the crab and fish like in the original work (acutally, the animals were in separate sets); I placed a koala and my all-time favorite marsupial: sugarglider as part of the roster. It's still unfinished, but I was happy and excited with the progress so far that I grabbed my O2 and took a pic of it and posted it as such.
