Description an old 1920s building along Lake Merrit

the liquid of eyes

those slices of sunlight
with a misty green frosty foggy feel
splatters against the girl's red dress
like wandering souls in the forest

that sky,
like a turbulent message from the gods,
a serious vision of a coming hurricane
off the gulf coast I have seen down in New Orleans

the figure seems helpless,
just waiting for the cards to be dealt

this one stopped me in my tracks
may the playing field be even

the mandolin played like a ukulele,
made you think of the islands
or what David Grisman would sound like in a hula skirt

that look in the liquid of your eyes

Michael ---illuminated with the colour of earths finest hours---heads towards earth and
collides with a woman
straight to her neck
the base of her heart and mind
bloated with the decaying crackling of harsh chemical reactions.
she finds her mind protruding forward
eye to eye with this uncertain
matter
what matters...
what matter
whats the matter
all such matter
meddled in the tiny now disconnected
element of her whole
cosmic fascination

solid matter
whats the matter

this is a great shot, surreal...it could be an illustration in a story book...not only because of the manipulation...I think it is the perspective that does it...you shot in some weird angle or I don't know...to me it is one of your best actually

funny, when I mentioned this shot, I did not like I thought, as usual it seems i do now and agree with what you say here.
i did give the angle a lot of thought b4 I shot, and at the time thought the building got diminished, but when i saw it at my studio scanned it all worked out well.
it is a cool one, and does have that surreal twist i like

many many thanks

Is that the building you were telling me about? Very interesting indeed! The signs work well too, great shot!

Thanks...
No.....never got there...this one i just noticed
after passing it maybe 1000 times and realizing it needed
to be done. It worked better than i first thought.
Once I see it up on the screen bigger it always seems to work.
