Waiting for a Bus - The Soft StuffStanding on the edge of the curb
looking down the street
waiting for a bus
that may never come
we discussed apples and oranges and toilet paper
you know, the good stuff
the stuff you hardly ever buy
then she said
looking down at my old cowboy boots
turning on the gray concrete step
I mean the soft stuff
the expensive stuff
you know
like a good smooth bottle of red wine
or a gold bullet in your head

this is a beauty, the color reminds me of old daguerrotypes and although there is the city skyline clearly visible it still abstract enough to leave a lot of room for imagination, be it looking at the shapes and formations in the huge sky or the reflections on the water....an excellent piece
