Description
Apparently back in 1995 I was in a contest at a local Comic book store in conjunction with "Marvel-Vs-DC". It was an art contest. I chose Rocket Raccoon and Blackjack O'Hare for MARVEL, Captain Carrot and Alley-cat-Abra for DC for my entry.Unfortunately, entries were lacking and I won almost by default. But it was fun.
Enjoy.
The aforementioned characters are owned by MARVEL and DC.

I'm a fan of both Rocket and Captain Carrot
they did a mini revival type series really recently for CC but it only lasts 3 issues
I even remember more rare furry ones like Thunderbunny, Atomic Mouse, Eb'nn the raven..

If you mean that Final Crisis Captain Carrot miniseries, I did not care for it at all. Basically, they killed off that universe and moved all those characters to the regular DC universe but they became normal animals on arrival. Effectively killing them off unless something truly weird happens, like some villain decided to make super animals and just happens to use the Zoo Crew animals for the experiment. Not likely to happen in the more "realistic" DC multiverse

Very good composition, Rocket Racoon has a good pose in the fight and Alley Cat Alba's expression is quite funny!

I'm a furry fan. Easy as that.
But Rocket and CC are such rare cases. Two furry characters owned by major publishers. Unfortunately Captain Carrot can't get a break. Not only was his world destroyed in the Countdown series, where DC tried to close down worlds into a single one, but DC will not let another studio use Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew, so no new stories there.
Rocket Raccoon is currently the de facto leader of a group of outer space superheroes in "Guardians of the Galaxy". No Blackjack O'Hare and his Rabbit Marauders... at least not yet. But at least he is getting some play time.
From all I've seen, Captain Carrot is pretty much dead.

Unfortunately that's just DC being their usual selves. (similar to Marvel but at least the latter has more interesting characters even if they're abused and crapped on) If it isn't some angsty save the universe for the zillionth time throwing in all the big heroes and hoping to change a few smaller ones for shock value, they don't care about them. Considering I'm a manga fan, I personally don't see why the mainstream publishers don't try to write for everyone instead of just a small cult of devoted fanboys who will never leave them.
