Julien's dumbass: I didn't listen to their whole lectures.... I was too excited about being able to shrink people that I got distracted.......

Like... Was it rEALLY NECESSARY to push Kyle against the wall and press the muzzle of the gun against his fucking gut? No. It wasn't
Jules got WAY too excited of finally having Kyle as his, WAY too territorial of Kyle having just found the rest of the dolls

Also... Not ONLY do I wanna do special chapters of the dolls after they woke up, but the other ones when another one was added in. Because reminder: The rest of the dolls SAW what happened to Kyle and Carmen, both horrifying them to death.
The Kyle one horrified them because he was SO close to finding them and saving them, the first time they've seen the shrinking ray in action, and Kyle looked like he was legit dying (also, they already had a foreboding feeling when they found out Kyle was gonna be in at the party)
The Carmen one horrified them, because, well, SHE WAS HIS FRIEND like wtf is wrong with u jules

Kyle's whole incident almost got Julien off guard. (I wanted to draw a lil comic of this but i couldn't asdfg maybe next time) He was so close to calling Alan for help before abruptly stopping like "wait nO, I can't tell Alan, he'll be really mAD!!!!" in which alan being "mad" is Julien's biggest concern of being found out of having shrunken and kidnapped people for four years stop

Julien's "little act of needy affection" has inconvenienced Kyle for LIFE. So, Kyle is extra angry and bitter. Because even if they all escape from him and return to their original sizes, Kyle still has all these health problems that can't be fixed. Plus all the emotional damage onto all of them as a result of being removed from life and used as a plaything for so long

I really wanna explain about the whole functionality of the shrinking ray, but the dolls don't even know too well, and Jules got all the info. But clearly not enough of it asdfghj
There's only two proportion sets into it, basically one that shrinks everything to it's smaller but specific proportion, and the other that would simply reverse that. It can go in lapses but there's no going in between them. Adding different proportions would be a LOT of work, as Julien would have to connect it to one of the computers and add all these numbers and he'd definitely fuck something up. So, he just leaves it on what is set
The lil brat does shrink other things that aren't people, such as their clothes, the food in their house, board games, etc
And this like... RLLY highlights how insane his parents and their high workers are. They GAVE him that shrinking ray, he's not hiding that from them, they know he has it and uses it. Their child who was obsessed with the idea of little peoples, who clearly has some issues and they.... just gave it to him without monitoring what he does with it....
