A request from , a scene from her fanfic "Altair:New Life"I loved how Altair's portrayed in the story, he's very human but really tough and stoic
I could draw lots of scenes inside my head and technically I can't draw them all, but I wanted to draw his hand right after his finger had been cut off and burnt.
Sorry about the background..I'm forever worse at it

The early hidden blade was modified to go out just on top the ring finger but they have to cut off the ring finger to prevent injury

I believe there is a story for the finger~ In ACII, Leonardo da Vinci tells Ezio that he would have to loose the finger in order to use the hidden blade; still, he was just kidding. I believe that, for the hidden blade mechanism to work back then, de finger should be removed and replaced by part of the system that activates the hidden blade, which, with time, was developed and the need to remove the finger was useless... WOW, huuuuge text ^^'

But as a side question: is his finger thing really an intentional part of being an assassin? I don't think I remember seeing any of the other assassins missing parts (apart from Malik!) - maybe it was just an accident like his lip? I have always wondered about it...
