Would be fun in your donna comic donna is a long lost bloodline of the amazones but the amazone ways still are written in blood and when donna gets beaten really bad and then her amazone blood kicks in and she be fighting like a real amazon with her rubber powers
I seee it fost as a bit of a rage mode and later she learns how to controll her amazone blood

I was actually just listening to an audiobook on the Greek Heroes (written and read by no less than Percy Jackson), and one of them explains just who started the Amazons and how. It certainly wasn't in South America. And the start of it all was pretty obvious considering how women were treated up to then.
