Hey, it's OC time! I've got two more finished pictures, but we'll see if I get done with putting them up and writing the hideously long descriptions that go with before I have to leave for Michigan tomorrow. I hate writing but also hate leaving things out.

And damn, I've got a ton of watchers now! I'll try not to disappoint.
And I think I owe a drawing to both =ed-spike-link and *Dostor for featuring my stuff once or twice...If either of you have a preference to what you want, comment or note.

So these two are Taborineas (the seraphim fellow that's being used as an armrest) and Vicanta (the tall dragonish guy). They're fairly minor characters in this little story I've got going, but I've managed to scrape together a little bit of background on each of them.

Taborineas and Vicanta are two students at the University of Dragonback City (for more on Dragonback City click the link and read the description. Don't bother with the picture.) Taborineas is working on a degree in philosophy, and Vicanta on one in science with a focus on Eaeonic evolutionary theory (the basis of which is kinda touched on in the description here ).

Taborineas, in stark contrast to Vicanta, comes off as a rather quiet, demure sort of guy. He likes books, and works in the Grand Library in the city, which pays for the rent but not much else. And btw, he's not old, his feathers are naturally silver.

Vicanta appears as a bit of a snotty rich boy, and is quite the ladies' man. Unlike most snotty rich boys, however, he earns his own money with a job working in the pipe system of Dragonback. The job is one with few suitable employees, as it involves being submerged in scalding hot water for hours at a time, scraping hard-water buildups off the inside of the pipes, and it pays quite well. This job has also inspired countless pickup lines for Vicanta's disposal. The bright markings on his body can fluoresce at will, and he is a very good swimmer. The tendrils on the back of his head and neck serve as feelers and help him navigate in cloudy water.
Vicanta is part of a species that I'm still working on, so I'll skip the long rant on how their species works...for now.

They seem like the least likely of friends, but Vicanta helps timid Taborineas have a social life, and Taborineas' book learnin' often helps Vicanta understand his homework. Each has their own view on the world, and often get in heated-though-scholarly debates on everything and anything.
