INCOMING PINKNESS!!Ty Lee has been clocked going from zero to adorable in under three seconds, you know. It's hard not to like Ty Lee as she spreads cheer, happiness, and contusions everywhere she goes. So happy and bubbly, and yet fit in perfectly with Azula and Mai.
I worry the face is a little off; I'm hoping it stands the test of time. The pose was a lot of fun, much more animate than my previous attempt at the girl.
(Update 07-30-2011: And six months later, I finally decided it was high time I went back and fixed the poor kid's face. I always felt like I didn't try hard enough when I drew her. I think it looks a lot better now. For comparison, here's the old version. )

Ty Lee and Avatar: The Last Airbender are the property of Nickelodeon and some couple of knuckleknobs. She's not mine and I'm not saying she's mine. I certainly wish she was mine.

Cute! She has dark hair and dark eyes just like my younger sister! I even modeled a character after her, except my girl is twenty-three years old, has red hair and brown eyes, and is of Russian descent. On top of that, she is also modeled after Ginny Weasley (the youngest child of Arthur and Molly Weasley in Harry Potter, as well as the only daughter in that family). My character is also the youngest of her family. I think Ty Lee is my favorite of the Fire Nation girls, considering she is cute, acrobatic and funny.

I actually really like the way her face turned out. I'm honestly not sure why that is. XD *fails* I mean, I like the way you inked her eyes. That's what really sticks out to me. Also, it looks like you may have changed aspects of your personal style a teensy bit. I don't know if that was intentional, or maybe it's because you are using your new tablet, or maybe that's just the way I see it. *shrugs*
The hands are also done extremely well. <3 Amazing picture!

Considering it was the way you like to play with perspective in your stuff that made me want to try something more creative with the pose, it's awesome to read your comments here. ^_^
I'm still fighting the graphic tablet as often as I'm drawing with it, but I'm loving every frustrating moment of it. It is changing the way I approach drawing, and so far on the whole I've been pleased with the evolution.
But climbing back down off my soapbox, thanks for the comments. It helps figure out what worked and what didn't. Turns out Ty Lee's face is harder to draw than Azula's. o.O

You know, when I first watched Ty Lee on "Airbender", I thought she was just kind of an airhead. Further on after a few more episodes, I began to like her more and more. Her moment to shine was during the beach episode when she reveals why she acts the way she does. It was a great moment in the series altogether, and now watching her again I find her cuteness irresistable.
As for the face, it does look a little bit off, but the expression is to adorable for me to really care. Overall, yet another great job. And yet again, I can't help but fave.

That pretty much mirrors my own reactions to the character. She looked disappointingly like a typical anime-type bimbo girl in her first appearance, but every time she popped up on the show she showed us something new about herself. By the time they all reached Ba Sing Se I was converted.
