Barns usually ARE painted red (or they are in my experience (country girl that I am)), so I really don't get where you think that living in a red one would automatically make someone (or somePONIES, in this case) a commie (commies).

I grew up during the height of the Cold War, and Commies are STILL pretty distrusted/looked down on where I'm from originally.
Which is southern Missouri.
