Here is a 40% complete refined version of Demons Within.I decided to show a progression of several shots untill completion. Then I'll put all but the final in my scraps. I'm doing this to give some people an idea of how I personaly go about my works. The reason that I have uploaded it at current state is cause up untill now, it was just a matter of copying my other one, but with more attention to detail/shading/light, but from here on out, its going to be slightly, to very much different depending on what I decide as I go. I hope that someone will get something out of me doing increments, or maybe just some knowledge on how I take on some of my drawings. Let me know what you think of this idea, please.

i think it'll look better with the lateral canthus of the eye slightly more lower compared to the medical canthus. give the more depressed look. careful not to change till it's too distorted though, if u want to change it. just a way to enhance the fear/depression look.

You've captured a look of fear and despair in the eyes that is quite potent. Its amazing to think that something like that can be achieved with pencil.

Perhaps with your great crosshatching you could do a piece and upload it in parts to help people understand the process that goes with. I don't know if you'd be interested in that, but either way, can't wait to see your next piece.

i love when fellow artist do this. i do this on my website/blog.not only do you learn a bit but you get to seee how otheres "see" art.
as for the illo itself, i like it.the shading is great.onething that myself dont like is between the upper lip and the nose area it reminds me of a monkey. this is of course just my 2 cents.
the eyes rock,alot of expression in them.i see a little bit of fear in them.maybe some confusion too ??

Yeah, the nose isn't sitting well with me thus far. I was going from a slightly tilted back look, but I think i'm gonna erase a little bit and bring it to more of a frontal view. The lip is also a bit thicker than i'm gonna leave it. I thank you for your comment, and especially your honesty. Its allways my opinion that if everyone just lets you walk through life patting you on the back, how are you supposed to improve yourself if you don't know anything is wrong?
