Definição da lente Canon EF-S 18-55mm (lente do kit).Decidi fazer uma comparação visual entre os diferentes f-stop desta lente. Minha conclusão está na imagem, quero apenas adicionar algumas informações extras:
Feitas com EOS 400D Rebel XTi
Tempos de disparo diferentes;
Auto WB;
Estilo de imagem Default.

Sharpness on Canon EF-S 18-55mm (kit lens).
I decided to do a visual comparison of the different f-stops of the kit lens. My conclusion is on the pic, just want to add more tech information:
Taken with EOS 400D Rebel XTi
Various shutter speed;
Auto WB;
Default picture style.

I would like to add, that in very hard day light, the Canon's kit lens is blurry as hell. Especialy on plants, leafs and other green stuff.
100% crop: (400D+18-55 @f8, 1/200s, iso100)

Oh yeah, the lack of sharpness of this lens are making me really sad...

grab the 50mm f/1.8 if you want affordable sharpness. That lens is amazing. Drop it down to f/2 and it becomes sharp across most of the frame. Drop it to 5.6 and its sharp everywhere.

Yeah I considered this lens, a friend of mine had one, I stayed with it for a while and I didn't like the results it gave me (and neither did my friend) so he decided to return and get another one, same as before, so he finally got the 50mm f1.4. I'll tell you, it's awesome! As for me, I just invested on the 10-22 thus I don't have money at this time, but I'm already considering buying the 50mm f1.4 and the 580EXII, or the 85mm f1.8 and the 580EXII
