I dreamed about my gliders for the first time... since I had them, I guess, last night. Then I played that little IQ game, and it correctly guessed Sugar Glider this morning (prompt shock and awe, guys!), and THEN I came across a Deviant who had a Glider fursona. So after angsting about my long-rehomed furbabies, I drew one, and thought about prettying it up and making a Xweetok (neopet) out of it. Then I made Vicats (V1) onto that base, just for kicks and giggles, since I haven't drawn her in almost a year. Then a friend went "Hey, there's an Angel Xwee on Leo UFA!" and I, in the midst of doodling Vicats V2 onto the base, went "I'LL DU DAT!" So yes. I now have a sugar-glider based Xweetok with my fursona's colouring. That' I'm appying for. Slap me NOW.Related content

Heh, this image is pretty old now. Her name is Wilt *Points to most recent deviation* I actually had a glider design when they first came out, but I got iced not too long after that, and hadn't owned a Xwee since.
I used to breed them. I miss them a little bit. :'3

xD my piano teacher got them at a store where they rarely fed their pets, so I imagine the parrots where pretty weak, unless of course she lied about what kind of birds...
she would also just let them roam her house (or they'd sleep her her pocket/purse) o3o I imagine that would explain it

Their diet is wierd.
My old piano teacher from way back when had two. They only bought them because they were on sale... Because they got out at the pet shop and ate all of the parrots and birds. They finally got rid of them when they ate their own bird (wierd how a little thing like a sugar could kill something so big D8 )

That is unusual... Gliders will eat finches and parakeets, but they shouldn't be able to take down anything larger. It could always be a stress related death, I suppose. I don't know. I only had a larger dog when I had my gliders (chow cross.) so I never experienced that.
I can't imagine how the gliders got to the bird, though? They shouldn't have been in the same enclosure and gliders aren't the free-roaming type (and when you do let them out, you watch them closely.) Ah well.

Awww! I love sugar gliders! x) Just a week or so ago I was nursing two who had to be fed every hour (including at night, but I got out of that one xD).

Aww! I love them too, but they're really high maintence (as I'm sure you're aware!) I lost a baby between my two, and the male was hoarding food, so the stress ended up being too much... but they're still lovely animals.
