Part 1 of the armor design tutorial. They aren't so much rules as they are guidelines. I don't expect people to follow the tutorial strictly, since that would kinda kill the notion of "developing your own style".Related content

Your armor design rules are really helpful. I love the drawings as well. I've been trying to put my ideas in motion and these are helping a lot.

Yes I saw it's quite old but indeed very helpful. I was wondering if you had anything on helms/visors? Cause I'm a having a bit of trouble in that area.

Hmm...I don't have a tutorial on headgear yet, but I do suggest looking at examples of helms and visors from video games, comics, and real life. Reference images are an invaluable resource!
