Ya, its intentional. I've found that working with desaturated colors works better when messing around with highlights and shades.
the intention is that the saturation would gradiate into the highlight, which didn't really happen here but I like the way it turned out either way.
it gives it the look that he's in a darker environment.
Either way, I'm still ironing out working with colors.
