I blured it a little bit in SAI later and added shadows and light areas for more depth, then I layered some colors over it

Perhaps this is quite a delayed response, but this is a really good tutorial. I've been trying to come up with a marble texture on my own for use in a game. It's brutal. After a few seconds reading this, I now know how to generate tons of different marble styles. Thanks!
