I was scrolling Pinterest the other day and stumbled upon a....rather familiar piece and uhhh....somebody had this to say. *sigh* There's one in every fandom I guess....okay I'm lying there's at least like over 100 of these fuckers in every fandom.And no I did NOT submit this artwork on Pinterest, it just showed up like most fanart does on there.

To my knowledge, one of the worst fandom reactions to fanart was Steven Universe.
I've heard... stories.
But VivziePop herself has apparently said she doesn't care who you ship. And straight characters everywhere get put together with all kinds of art full of-

Oh yeah, Steven Universe had it bad, ship a gem (mainly Pearl) with any male they loose their minds. 
Yes Viv and Ashley (an animator for the show) made that clear, yet certain fans rather throw hissy fits.

What I was told is that general artwork was often subjected to scrutiny because people have their own styles.
Like one instance of Steven's Mom being not drawn as... big boned as she appears gaining the ire of a few jerks.Β

I have some gay characters and if people decided to ship them with straight women I honestly wouldn't care, sexuality is like a spectrum anyway.
