I'm a day late for Arcy's birthday (January 30th) but close enough. I'm sooo glad to have a decent pic of Arcturus ;w; I also had no idea where I was going with that background but IT WORKS

I chose Samskeyti as Arcturus' theme. Sigur Ros songs in general (and especially that album) fit xem~

Arcturus has always been fascinated with space, ever since xe was born more than three hundred years ago somewhere in Nepal. one fateful night xe formed a pact with a star and some of the stardust entered xir eyes, rendering xem blind but giving xem access to fathomless knowledge. as a result, xe became part-spirit with a long but unknown lifespan. xe can sense energies and auras, so if you were to walk up to xir xe would not only be aware but understand your intentions and feelings.

since Arcturus can always hear the voices and knowledge of the stars, xe spends a lot of time in the White Space between worlds so xe can be alone with xir thoughts. xe doesn't like being around people for too long either, not because xe dislikes people but because people exude so much energy that it can become overwhelming and xe needs to recharge alone somewhere isolated for a time afterwards, such as Antarctica or the top of a mountain (being part-spirit, xe doesn't feel hunger, temperatures, etc.). because of the pact xe also has little sense of identity and doesn't remember xir previous life, xir family, xir birthday, etc. xe doesn't even remember xir name or birthday: I offered 'Arcturus' and January 30th and xe accepted. xe is ambidextrous, asexual, aromantic, agender and doesn't really care what you refer to xir with (although xe is preferred).

as xe is extremely peaceful and doesn't like to interfere in mortal fares, xe would never use xir incredible powers and intelligence to harm another being, even if doing so would end wars. if xe senses hostile energies approaching, xe simply teleports elsewhere on the planet.
