Description
The moon was high in the sky, showering the land below with it's night. Thorax took advantage of the lovely evening to go visit Spike. Years after he took over as the new leader of the Changlings, he and Spike rarely got to see each other. However, when they were able to meet up in Ponyville or at the Crystal Empire, they made the time they spent together worth it. During those visits, Thorax had developed feelings for Spike, but he was afraid of being rejected. Tonight though, he was prepared to confess his feelings tonight to Spike and hope for the best.

Once Thorax spotted Spike from the skies he was prepared to land, but then he saw someone else with him.

Thorax: Who's that?..

Thorax landed a safe distance away from them in order to get a better look. He noticed a smaller framed blue female dragon sitting next to Spike.

Thorax: Why is Spike with..her?..

Thorax couldn't help but to ease-drop on their conversation.

Spike: And then Pinkie Pie spilled fruit punch on Rarity's cashmere scarf.

Ember laughed a light blush on her face.

Ember: You weren't wrong about her being the fun pony.

Spike: That's Pinkie Pie for you. Hey, you should come by Ponyville more often. You'll have a great time.

Ember shrugged lightly.

Ember: Can't. Some griffons found gold on out territory and I have to make sure this doesn't lead into a war.

Spike: Oh..

Ember: But maybe..you can return with me. You and your pony friends know a few griffons. You could help smooth things out.

Thorax froze when he heard her asking Spike to leave with her. If Spike moved to the Dragon lands..he'd never be able to see him again...The Changing kingdom was too far away for him to be able to reach in a day.

Spike: Well...

Ember placed her claws over his.

Ember: Spike you're the only dragon I know that's made friends with all kinds of creatures. With your help we can smooth our relationship with the griffons once and for all.

Spike stared at Ember for a long moment before nodding.

Spike: Alright, I'll come with you.

Ember: Thank you Spike! This means a lot to me!

Thorax felt his own heart shatter. Spike was leaving...to be with her...He'd never be able to see him again..Tears fell alongside his cheeks from this news. He spread his wings back out before flying off, wanting to be as far away from this as possible....
