Description A closer version of Trixie with the nice camera so more of the detail, shading, etc. can be seen. I think the 13+ hours was worth it, don't you? Even if you were seeing it in person, you wouldn't be able to read the bottle, but it says "Las Pegasus Merlot, 1/1/11"

Edit: Whoohoo! EqD! Seth sure does love Trixie, doesn't he? For those who found this via Equestria Daily, the painting is part of a gallery which showcases the whole process start to finish and there's a larger image of the whole canvas since this is just a closeup.

That does seem the appropriate thing to hit. The floor had it coming.

Not usually one to like Trixie but this is good.

Actually, neither am I. I really didn't care for her, but when I saw the banner on Equestria Daily, I knew that if anyone in the show would say "Paint me like one of your French mares," (or fillies, since that makes more sense) it would be her. I initially wanted to use Octavia or Vinyl Scratch, maybe even Lyra and Bon Bon, Twilight, or someone else, but, in terms of attitude, it kept coming back to Trixie. And thank you! ^_^

To be honest, I do know what you're talking about, but I've never seen the movie or his painting.

Well, I don't know whether or not the one in the movie is, but it's based on the same thing mine is. Back in the late 1800s, early 1900s, there was a classical style of artwork and a lot of art was coming out of France, so a ton of artists moved to France. There are stories about lovers getting upset with their boyfriends and husbands asking "Why won't you paint me like one of your French girls?" Hence the painting. :]

When I looked at that "Paint me like one of your felt girls" banner on EqD, it basically screamed "PAINT ME!" at it. Well, she did, and who am I to argue with Trixie?

Truly incredible work. I wish I could line up enough words to be better able to express my awe but sadly it's not happening.

The only thing I can think to say to that is you far underestimate your skills then ><

Or, like many artists, I'm never happy with my work and happen to be hyper-critical. ^_^

Still, feedback like that makes me very happy and encourages me to continue painting. It's actually convinced me to get a table at the pony convention starting here in July.

As does Trixie! I keep staring at the picture thinking, "Let me through the fourth wall, damn it! I want to try that wine!"
